Dr. Varughese completed his MBBS and MD in Pulmonary Medicine from Pondicherry University, where he was awarded a Gold Medal in recognition of his academic excellence. His pursuit of knowledge did not stop there, he went on to earn several highly respected international qualifications, including FCCP (Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians), EDARM (European Diploma in Respiratory Medicine), and FAPSR (Fellow of the Asian Pacific Society of Respirology). In 2018, Dr. Varughese brought further distinction to Indian pulmonology by winning First Prize in the CHEST Challenge India conducted by the ACCP.
Over the years, Dr. Varughese has gained extensive experience in diagnosing and managing a wide spectrum of respiratory conditions such as Asthma, COPD, Interstitial Lung Disease, Sleep Apnea, Pulmonary Hypertension, and lung infections.
Dr. Varughese remains actively involved with leading medical organizations including the American College of Chest Physicians, European Respiratory Society, Indian Chest Society, Asian Pacific Society of Respirology, Cochin Thoracic Society, and Indian Medical Association. He strongly believes in practicing medicine with accuracy, compassion, and a focus on empowering patients, which has gained him immense respect from both his patients and colleagues.
